Greenfield Partners is a private equity firm based in Connecticut that invests in real estate. The firm’s mandate for real estate investment is broad, spanning direct investment development, redevelopment and repurposing, and repositioning asset. In addition, Greenfield has experience making investments in the industrial and logistics sectors.

SITUATION:

Greenfield Partners believe that landlords should be more than just a supplier of real estate. As retail moves away from chain outlets towards pop-up stores and boutique shops that provide experience as much as selling goods, logistics support is becoming more important. In partnership with Related, Quiet Logistics was identified as a unique provider of E-Commerce fulfillment services given its reputation, omnichannel capabilities and focus on direct to consumer brands.

ENGAGEMENT:

Given its deep expertise within fulfillment and logistics, G2 was engaged to act as the exclusive buy-side advisor to Greenfield, responsible for providing strategic advisory services during the firm’s acquisition of Quiet Logistics. G2 leveraged his extensive operational experience in E-Commerce fulfillment and deep knowledge of Quiet Logistics to assist Greenfield in developing its perspective on the industry and growth strategy for the platform.

OUTCOME:

Backed by $300M of investment capital, Greenfield is embarking on an ambitious strategic plan to disrupt the current ecommerce service provider ecosystem leveraging state-of-the-art fulfillment centers in major urban locations (NYC, L.A., Dallas, SF). Greenfield is seeking key strategic relationships with parcel delivery providers that specialize in final mile and same day delivery services, starting with NYC
