ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Custom Ecology, Inc. (“CEI”) provides full-service municipal and industrial environmental commodities transportation services – including transfer station management and hazardous waste handling. The Company maintains an array of hard assets – from a fleet of more than 500 tractors to trailers, pneumatic tankers, belt dumps, and steel haulers.
SITUATION:
The Company had expanded its operations to cover the Eastern and Midwestern U.S., had grown to more than 700 employees, and had booked more than $145MM in revenue in 2018. Ownership sought to execute a majority recapitalization or a sale, as well as resolve significant liquidity challenges facing the Company.
ENGAGEMENT:
G2 was engaged to represent CEI as its exclusive Financial Advisor and was responsible for running an expeditious, targeted, and high-touch process – simultaneously identifying and evaluating additional strategic options and alternatives.
OUTCOME:
G2 completed a recapitalization of CEI and executed an exit for the ownership group.
