Situation
After executing an extensive operational turnaround, Sankaty Advisors, the control owner of Rotorcraft Leasing Company (“RLC”), was exploring financing options to fund additional working capital and new growth opportunities. This was a complicated transaction based on the number of stakeholders involved in the process and due to market conditions that occurred prior to Sankaty taking control of the business in 2011.
