Jeffrey Unger, G2’s founder and CEO, has spent the last 30 years as a serial entrepreneur and C-level executive across several markets. He has extensive experience in Financial Services, Information Technology and Logistics across emerging and late-stage growth dynamics. His background in these markets extends throughout private and public corporations both domestic and international.

Jeffrey launched G2 Capital Advisors in 2010 with a vision to introduce a new platform comprised of a sector focused, multi-disciplinary, financial advisory services to the marketplace. The G2 platform provides unparalleled perspective through the lens of former operators and C-level executives. Jeffrey is an accomplished Senior Executive, M&A advisor, and Restructuring specialist with significant international and cross border experience. Jeffrey has successfully led organizations to profitability and exit strategies through both uptrend and downtrend cycles and has led or participated in over 250 M&A and financing and restructuring transactions, to date.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

ADS Logistics: (Acquired by Linx Partners in 2011) – From 2009 to 2011, Jeffrey served as the Chairman of the Board and as a Restructuring Advisor for ADS Logistics, a leading provider of 3PL services to the Metals industry. In addition to leading the restructuring and turnaround efforts, on behalf of the stakeholders, G2 led the successful exit strategy sell-side to Linx Partners, a leading NYC based Private Equity Firm.

Premier Logistics: (Acquired by Landstar Systems) – From 2008 to 2009, Jeffrey was the Lead Director and Restructuring Advisor for Premier Logistics, a leading provider of IT based logistics solutions for the automotive sector. Landstar Systems acquired Premier Logistics in June 2009.

OpSec Security Group: (Taken private by Investcorp) – From 2006 to 2010, Jeffrey served as the Divisional President of UK based, OSG (OSG:LSE) a technology, security printing and software company. With global P&L responsibility and a team of over 100 employees across the Americas, Europe and Asia, Jeffrey was responsible for the global divisional strategy and execution. Additionally, Jeffrey was an active member of OpSec’s M&A and integration team and led the cross border M&A transactions.

GenuOne (Acquired by Opsec) – From 1998 to 2006, Jeffrey was the Founder and CEO of GenuOne Inc., an emerging growth SaaS application and services company focused on anti-piracy and supply chain security challenges. The company raised over $20M in VC financing. The company had over 75 employees and a client base of over 50 Global 1000 companies. In May 2006, Jeffrey successfully negotiated the sale of GenuOne to OpSec Security Group.

Jeffrey completed the OPM 37 executive education program at Harvard Business School and attended Boston University where he pursued a BA in International Relations. He currently serves as a Board of Trustee at The Nativity Prep school for Boys and The Dexter Southfield School. He is also an independent director to several corporations on behalf of Institutional investors and founder owned companies.
