Rob Ramirez

Managing Director, Restructuring

Rob Ramirez is a Managing Director for G2 Capital Advisors’ restructuring practice. He has more than a decade of investment banking experience, advising companies, creditors, sovereigns, sponsors and other constituents on complex financial and operational restructurings, liability management, special situations M&A, and financing transactions across a wide range of industries.  

Prior to joining G2, Rob served as a Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities, where he advised on the restructuring of over $100 billion in corporate liabilities, raised more than $25 billion in capital, and executed over $30 billion in M&A transactions. His notable track record includes several award-winning mandates: Turnaround Management Association (TMA) 2023 Mega Company Turnaround / Transaction of the Year  for advising Garuda Indonesia, The M&A Advisor 2021 Turnaround Deal of the Year ($100MM–$1BN) and Global M&A Network Turnaround Atlas Awards 2021 Out-of-Court Restructuring of the Year (Large) for advising Alto Ingredients (f/k/a Pacific Ethanol), and The M&A Advisor 2019 Restructuring Deal of the Year ($100MM–$1BN) for advising The NORDAM Group.  

Before transitioning to investment banking, Rob served with distinction as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. He was deployed aboard the USS Gary (FFG 51) and USS Gridley (DDG 101) and held leadership roles ashore at U.S. Naval Forces Central Command / Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.  

Rob earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy. 

Rob lives in Miami, FL with his wife and two daughters. Outside of the office, he enjoys competitive sailing, cooking for his family and friends, and is a Certified Sommelier.
