Situation
Following more than 20 years of success as an independent, privately held company and leader in the e-commerce fulfillment industry, the ownership group of Dotcom Distribution sought a strategic partner to help support the next phase of growth.
Engagement
G2 Capital Advisors, LLC (“G2”) was engaged by Dotcom Distribution as exclusive sell-side advisor. G2 lead a highly targeted and efficient sell-side transaction process focused on identifying the right partner to capitalize on Dotcom’s knowledge, expertise, and decades of experience in e-commerce fufillment.
Outcome
The transaction was successfully executed through a sale to Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R) (“Ryder”), a leader in supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions. With this acquisition, Ryder continues to expand its e-commmerce and omnichannel fulfillment network, with the opportunity to add an impressive roster of consumer brand names and increase its national footprint with the addition of a 400,000-square-foot multiclient fulfillment facility in Edison, New Jersey. Dotcom’s experienced leadership team, including founder and CEO Maria Haggerty, and the company’s operations team, will join Ryder to ensure a seamless transition for its customers.
