EIG’s client base includes electric utilities, generation and transmission project developers, independent system operators, state regulators, and energy project financiers.
The founding partners of EIG were seeking to sell all or a majority of the Company and were looking for a strategic buyer to assist in the execution of the firm’s regional expansion strategy. The principals of EIG were focused on securing a partnership with complimentary domain expertise and client base to support the next phase of growth.
Given its understanding of the specialty consulting services market and its deep relationships with key industry players, G2 was engaged as the exclusive sell-side advisor for the sale of EIG and was responsible for running a high-touch, discreet process to a targeted universe of potential buyers.
The transaction was successfully completed through a sale to EN Engineering, a portfolio company of General Atlantic Partners and leading provider of engineering, consulting, and environmental services to the critical infrastructure and industrial markets.
