Situation
Over seven decades, Alba’s growth strategy has been driven by both organic efforts and acquiring leading customs house brokers and freight forwarders. The Company pursues a limited number of acquisitions each year and is experienced at tailoring agreements to suit business owners’ various objectives and facilitating a seamless onboarding process.
Engagement
G2 Capital Advisors, LLC (“G2”) served as Alba and Southfield’s exclusive buy-side advisor, identifying and originating acquisition targets that met the Company’s criteria and expansion goals.
Outcome
Alba acquired Miami, FL-based The Perishables Specialist (“Perishables Specialist”) in March 2025. This marks Alba’s second successful acquisition working with G2 to source leads in the customs brokerage space.
The Perishables Specialist offers customs brokerage services in the United States, primarily focusing on fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables. The acquisition bolsters Alba’s customs brokerage business with added depth in the perishables end market.
