Zeeshan Mirza

Zeeshan (Zee) Mirza is a Managing Director at G2 Capital Advisors within the Restructuring & Revitalization practice. With more than two decades of experience, Zee specializes in business transformations and operational turnarounds in the middle market, frequently stepping into interim leadership roles to guide organizations through complex and challenged environments.  

His career spans board service, C-suite interim leadership, and private equity operating partner positions, with a proven track record of driving growth, improving performance, and aligning company culture during times of transition. Zee has held leadership roles across multiple industries, including business and technology services, consumer services and retail, education, manufacturing, and healthcare. 

Before joining G2, Zee launched an entrepreneurial venture focused on modular construction financing to help solve the US housing crisis. He previously served as a Managing Director/Operating Partner in the Special Situations teams at Golub Capital and Guggenheim Partners, where he collaborated with portfolio company leadership teams to develop defensible growth strategies, stabilize and scale operations, and deliver step-change improvement in operating and financial performance.  Zee served in interim-CEO and Chief Transformation Officer roles in STG Partners’ European portfolio companies. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Bain & Company in the Private Equity and Performance Improvement practices and at AlixPartners in the Enterprise Improvement practice. 

Based in Chicago, he partners with private equity firms, lenders, and corporate clients to source, originate, and execute transformation and interim management engagements. 

Zee earned his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Economics and Religious Studies from Rice University. When not working, Zee attends his children’s sports events. Zee is also an aspiring wood worker.
