Derek Reisfield

Derek Reisfield is a strategic finance leader with over 25 years of experience in the software as a service sector, where he has built, restructured, and advised businesses that have created over $14 billion in value. Most recently, Derek served as Chief Financial Officer for AllSci in Washington, D.C., advising the CEO on strategic revenue growth opportunities to optimize define the company’s product, target market sectors, and financing.
Prior to this, Derek was the Chief Financial Officer and a member of Board of Directors at Ondas Holdings, a NASDAQ-listed company, where he led through a major restructuring and cross-border series of acquisitions. Derek was CEO of BBN Networks, an ad tech platform that partnered with leading international media companies. Throughout his career as a CFO, Derek has led teams to ensure realignment of financial objectives, restructured business and managed corporate transactions.
Derek is former consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised Fortune 500 companies on finance and turnarounds, strategy and operations. While at McKinsey, Derek led numerous corporate turnarounds, including a Scandinavian newspaper engagement, which became McKinsey’s core teaching case for its introductory training program.
Derek holds a master’s degree in business communications management from the University of Southern California – The Annenberg School, where he received a merit scholarship. He also has a bachelor’s degree in history from Wesleyan University, where he received the Davenport prize.
Derek lives in the Washington, D.C., area with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, skiing, and attending his son’s water polo matches. Derek is also the co-founder of MarketWatch, a leading financial news and information website.
