Kirk Waldron

Managing Director, Restructuring

Kirk Waldron is a Managing Director in G2’s Restructuring & Revitalization group with over 35 years of operational leadership experience. He has held CEO, CFO, and COO roles across public and private companies in sectors including business services, EMS (electronic manufacturing services), and capital equipment manufacturing. 

Kirk specializes in operational and financial leadership, focusing on strategic and tactical assistance, change management, cost containment/reduction initiatives, turnaround, cultural integration, mentoring, and overall P&L/KPI development and monitoring. Over his career, he has executed more than 50 M&A transactions, led numerous credit facility negotiations, and supported high-profile distressed situations. 

At G2, Kirk has taken interim leadership roles, including President of A&A Global Imports and Marquee Event Group. He currently sits on the board of Element Corporation and has held various board and audit committee positions for public and private equity-backed companies. He has also served as Chief Restructuring Officer and led multiple special projects. 

Before G2, Kirk was CFO and COO of Qual-Pro Corp., where he led a successful turnaround and then negotiated a sale of the company. He also served as CFO of Classic Party Rentals, overseeing 30 acquisitions in under three years and scaling the company into North America’s largest event rental provider. At SMTEK International, he served as CFO and later President, guiding the company through an operational and financial turnaround, leading SMTEK to be acquired with a significant return on investment. 

Kirk began his career at Ernst & Young. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from USC’s Marshall School of Business and is a licensed (inactive) CPA in California. Kirk’s primary residence is in Westlake Village, California, with his wife of 36 years. When he is not spending time with his three adult daughters, he enjoys travelling, wine collecting, and is an avid endurance athlete having completed numerous ironmans, half-ironmans, and marathons across the world.
