Rob Ramirez Joins G2 Capital Advisors as Managing Director, Restructuring & Revitalization

G2 Capital Advisors Expands Leadership Team with the Addition of Rob Ramirez as MD, Restructuring.

Boston, MA – July 1, 2025– G2 Capital Advisors, a leading middle-market investment bank and restructuring advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Robert (Rob) Ramirez has joined the firm as a Managing Director within the Restructuring & Revitalization practice.

Rob brings more than a decade of investment banking experience, advising on complex financial restructurings, liability management, special situations M&A, and capital markets transactions across a wide range of industries. Most recently, he served as a Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities, where he advised on the restructuring of over $100 billion in corporate liabilities, raised more than $25 billion in capital, and executed over $30 billion in M&A transactions.

His notable track record includes transformative mandates for companies such as American Airlines and Instant Brands, as well as award-winning transactions, including:

• Garuda Indonesia – Turnaround Management Association (TMA) 2023 Mega Company Turnaround / Transaction of the Year
• Alto Ingredients (f/k/a Pacific Ethanol) – The M&A Advisor 2021 Turnaround Deal of the Year ($100MM–$1BN) and Global M&A Network Turnaround Atlas Awards 2021 Out-of-Court Restructuring of the Year (Large)
• The NORDAM Group – The M&A Advisor 2019 Restructuring Deal of the Year ($100MM–$1BN)

Before transitioning to investment banking, Rob served with distinction as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. He was deployed aboard the USS Gary (FFG 51) and USS Gridley (DDG 101), and held leadership roles ashore at U.S. Naval Forces Central Command / Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy.
