Nate McOmber

Managing Director, Restructuring

Nate McOmber is a Managing Director in the Restructuring practice at G2 Capital Advisors. Harnessing over 20 years of experience in financial, strategic, and operating roles across multiple industries, he advises distressed emerging growth companies and their stakeholders.

Nate is recognized for his expertise in implementing comprehensive solutions for troubled companies. He leads a variety of special situation advisory engagements, including asset sales, out-of-court workouts, insolvency proceedings, and loan restructurings. Nate is one of the nation’s foremost authorities on assignments for the benefit of creditors (ABCs).

The Palo Alto native’s industry experience spans an array of sectors, including e-commerce, SaaS, gaming, hardware, life sciences, consumer electronics, and energy innovation. Based in our San Francisco office, Nate maintains a deep network in the venture capital and technology communities.

Prior to joining G2, Nate was a Senior Vice President at Sherwood Partners. Earlier he served on the leadership teams of cleantech companies backed by BP Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, SVB, and other providers of venture capital and venture debt. He began his career at a consulting boutique focused on organizational change, and subsequently joined AT&T Mobility to aid in the rollout of its nascent mobile email technology.

Nate splits his time between the Bay Area and Salt Lake City, where he lives with his wife and three children. He enjoys competitive tennis and the outdoors year round. Nate holds a BS from the University of Utah and an MBA from Wharton.
