About the Role:

Join our growing Marketing team! G2 is hiring a Content Marketing Manager. In this role, you will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with our industry and product teams to produce a wide range of content. We’re scaling out our team to meet the demands of rapid company growth and market opportunity. This is a great chance to join a dynamic team at a growth-minded firm! Candidates should have a deep understanding of marketing channels (direct email, website, social, etc.) and use of content types (long vs. short form, written vs. audio/visual, etc.) to optimize audience engagement and drive lead generation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design & execute a content calendar supporting product and industry team go-to-market strategies with a focus on full-funnel activities.
  • Deliver thematic product marketing campaigns to drive thought leadership, lead generation, brand awareness, and business development.
    • Focus areas include email, blog & social posts, white papers, industry newsletters, thought leadership, PPC ad campaigns, SEO optimization, infographics, videos, podcasts, etc. 
  • Track omni-channel KPIs and analyze metrics in real-time to measure effectiveness and inform G2’s content strategy.
  • Conduct independent research to define target audience profiles, develop story angles, and identify noteworthy trends. 
  • Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate content ideas, identify best practices, and uncover areas of opportunity.
  • Analyze and qualify inbound leads, conduct initial company screen to determine if prospective opportunity meets G2 client criteria.
  • Report & distribute qualified leads to the appropriate business development or industry team member to progress the origination process. 

What We Look For:

  • 5-7 years in communications or marketing, preferably in financial services.
  • Consulting/Marketing Agency experience ideally supporting clients in financial services.
  • Outstanding time management, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience leading projects for senior leadership, maintaining deadlines and balancing multiple fast-paced projects.
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on performance metrics and making data-driven suggestions to optimize performance.
  • Deep understanding of channel best practices across different media platforms
  • Experience with Google Analytics, LI Campaign Manager, WordPress, SEMrush (or similar) Salesforce, SEO, UX. 
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
