Prior to joining G2 Capital Advisors, Mr. Lentz served as CEO at WLG Logistics, an international mid-tier freight forwarder with annual revenues of $220 million and over 300 employees. In 2008, Mr. Lentz was recruited and appointed as CEO to restructure the U.S. organization, integrate the company after multiple acquisitions, and turnaround performance. During his time at WLG, Mr. Lentz increased margins by over 50%, reduced overhead and expenses by over 20%, implemented and integrated a full enterprise IT system, and combined five separate U.S. companies into one synergized entity. Additionally, Mr. Lentz spent 23 years with Ryder Logistics. His final position with Ryder was as global vice president of sales & marketing, where he built the division up from $100 million in 1988 to $2.4 billion in 2000.
Ron holds a BA in Accounting, Business Management, and Speech Communications from Augustana College. Ron is a member of the Board of Advisors for Lanetix, a cloud-based company leading the revolution in logistics commercial operations.
Ron’s passions include being a ‘Wish Granter’ for “Make A Wish Foundation” for over 20 years.
A lifelong resident in Chicagoland area, Ron is happily married to his wife Julienne for 35 years. Ron’s passions include a love for skiing, golf, basketball and outdoor activities.
